Gellibrand Community House
Fire donations and support.
Gellibrand is grateful for all the kind thoughts , concerns and offers of support in the last few days and weeks. It has been very tiring but the community is rallying together and supporting each other. We understand that people want to start offering monetary and hands on help to support the community. This is very much appreciated. If you would like to make a donation you can now do this through the Gellibrand Community House . This is set up to be tax deductible. The monies will be distributed between organisations and community members who need support in Gellibrand, Carlisle River and Kawarren. We know that people would also want to help on the ground and donate goods. We ask people to be patient. The fire is not over yet and our community needs to assess what is needed and what will make the greatest impact . We will make further announcements in coming days once these are identified. If you would like to donate go to https://www.anhca.org/donate Press on donate to a house The name of the house is Gellibrand Community House. Anyone wanting to donate to the CFA this needs to be done through the appropriate protocol. Please go to www.cfa.vic.gov.au Go to donation fund and choose the cfa unit you wish to donate to in the drop down box. From past experience of fires please be aware of scammers in relation to donations of money and goods. We will get through this time as we a close resilient community. We hope in the future to have a celebration to invite everyone to our wonderful little town.
